When you make a claim through the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, you’ll receive the money within six working days. As such, to ensure you receive a payment by the end of May, claims must be submitted by Wednesday 20 May.
On 12 May, the Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that the CJRS scheme will be extended until the end of October. The scheme will continue in its current form until the end of July, then from 1 August to the end of October, more flexibility will be introduced. This means employers will be able to bring their furloughed employees back to work part-time and contribute to paying employees’ wages, while still receiving support from the scheme.
Time is of the essence for employers looking to meet the 20 May deadline. If you are seeking to secure financial support for salary payments by the end of May, Clayton & Brewill can calculate the claim total for you and submit the claim on your behalf. We’ve already taken care of hundreds of claims for both existing and new clients, with a range of payroll sizes.
