'Business owners are having to cope with major changes to how they manage paying their employees', commented head of Payroll Services Chloe Hughes.
'We had the introduction of Real Time Information reporting in 2013 and now the new pension auto-enrolment regulations are very much on the horizon for smaller and mid-sized employers – all of which is leading to a substantial rise in businesses looking to outsource their payroll requirements.'
Under the new pension auto-enrolment legislation all employers will ultimately have to contribute three percent towards a pension scheme for each eligible employee. The regulations were initially brought in for the very largest firms, with those businesses employing fewer than 30 people being affected from September 2015.
Chloe added: 'Julie's experience makes her a very welcome addition to our payroll team and ensures we can continue to help our clients prepare for a smooth transition to these new workplace pension requirements.
Julie joins Clayton & Brewill from UHY Hacker Young where she managed a portfolio of around 80 payroll clients. Prior to working at Hacker Young she spent 15 years in Boots' in-house payroll team and is also a qualified teaching assistant.
