Little Grippers is a Nottingham based business that was launched in 2013 after months of development and testing.
The brand is the brain child of husband and wife team Adrien and Rachel Pettiford, who with 5 children between them and a combined 50 years in the textile industry, had the expertise to do something about the problem of lost, missing and falling down socks.
Since launching in early 2013, sales of the Little Grippers products have gone from strength to strength and the company now exports worldwide, including Europe, the USA and Canada, New Zealand, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, winning a host of awards along the way.
The company is now looking to expand, to create additional warehouse and technical support as well as new sales jobs based both in the Midlands and in the States, whilst opening a new showroom and office to accommodate the growing brand within the Nottingham area.
How does it work?
The Little Grippers sock brand uses an innovative and unique “Stay On Technology” to help parents (and their children!) say goodbye to the problem of lost and droopy socks.
Have you ever come home from an outing with your child and found that one sock has gone missing somewhere along the way? And think of the time children waste every day pulling up their socks… well, those days are over.
It's goodbye to socks that fall down!
Specially developed robots apply a very thin layer of dermatologist approved, hypoallergenic clear silicon to the inside cuff of each sock. This then uses the natural properties of silicon to provide a gentle (but not sticky) grip that ensures the Little Grippers socks stay comfortable and in place all day long.
The technology renews itself every time you wash the garments, so it doesn't lose its effectiveness, doesn't wash off and lasts the lifetime of the garment. The Little Grippers range includes baby and toddler socks; school socks and sports socks, with a wide range of designs and colours available.
The latest range to be launched by Little Grippers later in the year will be Children's Welly Socks.
