Client profile: Rhodes Wealth Management Ltd

In our latest client profile piece, we speak to Adam Rhodes, Managing Director of Rhodes Wealth Management, to find out more about the company and their exciting plans for the future.

When was Rhodes Wealth Management formed?Adam Rhodes, Managing Director, Rhodes Wealth Management

The company was formed in 2007. Initially it was just me, working on my own, but now we have a team of 5 financial advisers and 11 support staff, providing a range of support services to some of the region’s biggest names.

Prior to forming Rhodes Wealth Management, I was a stockbroker and financial adviser and worked in London for a while before moving to the East Midlands.

I really enjoy working with so many successful entrepreneurs and business people – they all have a story to tell and I very much relish the chance to learn about so many different industries.

What services do you and your team provide?

We have extensive experience of helping individuals and companies manage their financial affairs and offer fully integrated advice which covers personal wealth management and business needs. We also compliment and work in collaboration with existing strategic partners or advisers such as accountants, solicitors and banks.

Our great team of advisers specialise in working with companies, individuals and families whose finances are more complicated than most and coming up with detailed and bespoke solutions.

Our focus is on maintaining long-term relationships with our clients and their beneficiaries, assisting them to achieve their financial objectives whilst protecting and preserving wealth through our Wealth Management Programme.

In the business arena, we specialise in corporate planning and pensions, employee benefits, investment and insurance planning and profit extraction. We help business owners to achieve their financial objectives and protect the business they have created.

We help to clearly define our clients’ personal and business objectives in order to achieve the best possible outcomes through our popular Wealth Management Programme.

For example, a business owner might need to be extracting profit tax efficiently or an individual may be wanting a better return on cash.

How do you work with Clayton & Brewill?

I appointed Clayton & Brewill as my accountant when I first formed Rhodes Wealth Management and as the relationship developed we realised we could work collaboratively for the benefit of our clients.

Often clients work in isolation with their accountant, solicitor and financial adviser. However, if these parties all work together as a team, it’s much more beneficial for the client as they receive seamless advice that takes into consideration all areas of their personal and business matters.

Rhodes Wealth Management and Clayton & Brewill have a similar focus on providing the very best client service and we both pride ourselves on the strong relationships we have with our clients. We now work together witha number of mutual clients and the feedback has been extremely positive.

Rhodes Wealth Management What’s next for Rhodes Wealth Management?

We are a senior partner practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management, an award-winning FTSE 100 company and for many years we’ve used their branding. However, we are now focusing on building the Rhodes Wealth Management brand.

We’ve recently had a new logo developed, which we’re pushing across all our marketing elements and we’re investing in our marketing resources and activity.

We are also growing our team and want to ensure we attract and retain the very best people. We are passionate about helping people to grow and develop and to allow us to do this, later this year, we are moving to new offices. Our new, open plan, modern space will allow us to create the right culture for our people, as well as giving us the necessary physical space we need to allow us to add to the team.

There’s certainly lots happening at Rhodes Wealth Management and we are very excited about the future.
