Definitely not for the faint-hearted, the 30k nighttime trek takes the hikers through the scariest parts of Sherwood Forest in the pitch black as Neil explains:
'I am part of a team from Hucknall Rotary Club and, together with Hilltoppers Golf Society, we are raising funds for wheelchairs for rugby and basketball at Portland College. Portland College is a vibrant national college for people with a wide range of disabilities and we are very pleased to be able to support their initiative to build elite sporting facilities for their students.
'The Fright Hike is challenging, rewarding and great fun – we're hoping to complete the 30k in a good time and training is well underway, although we are mostly sticking to daylight hours at the moment!'
The Sherwood Forest Fright Hike takes place on 25 October and you can find out more here – including how to enter.
